Consultations

If you have never tried acupuncture or have never even heard of it this page is for you. Read the list below to find out which common conditions acupuncture may help with. If you do not see your condition on the list you may still contact me or book a 15 minute consultation to further discuss.

Acupuncture has been a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for thousands of years. Each patient will be given a TCM diagnosis based on the symptoms they are experiencing, the acupuncturist will then choose a point prescription for the treatment. There are over 400 acupuncture points with many different benefits. The acupuncturist will insert thin needles into the body at the specific acupuncture points chosen, this will help to balance the flow of energy (Qi) throughout the body.

There are many different channels (meridians) that energy also known as Qi flows through within the body. The goal of acupuncture is to remove energy blockages and promote the free flow of energy (Qi) through these meridians which may help to regulate emotional, mental and physical health.
